Two Rington's Blue & White Decorative Plates by Mason's

Offered for sale is are two wonderful decorative blue & white plates made by Mason's for Rington's Ltd. The Rington's, established in 1907, were a family of tea Merchants and famous for always having commemorative wares for Royal coronations etc. The first plate illustrates "The Story of Tea" with an image of the globe at it's centre bearing the legend "The Story of Tea" it is decorated with images of the tea production processes from plucking to tasting, bordered with tea leaves. The second entitled "The Decorative Jug Collection" is decorated with images of various jug shapes from Mason's in addition to the commemorative water jug commissioned by Rington's in celebration of the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II In 1953.
