This unique Art Deco mirror with a tray like frame from the 1930s and from the Rowley collection (London) is in lovely condition.
The mirror plate is a single piece with a deep bevelled edge. The reflectivity is good with no misting or foxing.
The uniqueness of this mirror comes from the wooden frame which is designed to look like a tray. Its colouring gives the impression of Bakelite which was a much used substance in this period. The frame is further accentuated with a thin post box red line around te top edge.
The back is untouched and gives a clear view of what the frame looked like when made.
A lovely mirror from the past which is equally at home in the present.
