Unusual 18th Century Style German Silver Cream Jug c.1890

Striking German silver cream jug in the 18th century style of ovoid form with raised flared spout and raised carved ebonised handle. Set on three elegant cabriole legs with cast hoof detail to the feet and large decorative acanthus leaf moulded terminals. A decorative cast detailed border runs around the shoulders sandwiched in a stepped, grooved band. Hallmarks to the base, c.1890.
