Unusual Barograph by Baines, Harrogate

This is an attractive and very unusual barograph supplied by A R Baines of Station Road, Harrogate, Yorkshire. The case, in polished mahogany has been  used as the base to carry the barograph movement creating a lovely, minimalist design - the first of this style I've seen in 60 years. A selection of weekly charts is included together with a fresh bottle of recording ink and a reprinted copy of an instruction pamphlet by Negretti & Zambra illustrating the interpretation of various chary records.
