Unusual Rare 18Th Century Austrian Verge Table Mantel Clock Pull Alarm. Very early clock Showing signs of its age everywhere Carved decoration Glass sides and front Lift off top and access panel back door Silk suspension Early verge escapement Scrolling carved decoration Clean dial Scrolling embossed decoration Silver chaptering inner alarm dial Carved pillars flanking the dial Circa 1770 Measures 55cm high by 33cm wide & 17cm deep bezel is 15cm I think this is a rare clock I am not an expert on early black forest style clocks. I think this is Austrian dating to around 1770 given the styles of the dial and verge escapement. This clock although amazing for clock people it does show its 250-year history the case has old woodworm the wood is twisted knocked, it looks great Early condition for age with crack in glass, showing slight signs or age please view the many photos make sure happy
