Description

Lovely 1920's silver plated valentine love heart pill or jewellery box. Stamped with the makers mark for Kender & Stokes of London, this mark was used between 1921 and 1923. Lovely repousse decoration with a blank central cartouche to the centre and cherubs to each side. The decoration is exceptional, the quality being better than on some solid silver boxes. Apologies for any reflections in the pictures, these are not marks in the silver. To polish always use a gentle silver cloth not fluid cleaner as this will get stuck and build up in the repousse work of the decoration and look unsightly. A small silver cloth will be sent with the box. Wonderful gift idea for a loved one. Will be sent in a gift box. Happy to answer any questions.

Excellent condition, no damage or repairs just surface marks from age and use as you'd expect. Surprisingly little wear to the silver plate, just one noticeable spot to the bottom under the point of the heart as shown in the pictures.
