A lovely Victorian classic straight rail bed, a classic and enduring style which has lasted the test of time and is one of the most popular styles of antique bedsteads. This bed has a particularly lovely upstand which supports the brass top rail. No end beds are a fabulous choice for all rooms, particularly smaller rooms or indeed rooms with a view! Fully restored to be sturdy, practical and beautiful. Whole frame cleaned and tested for durability. Shot blasted and primed prior to hand paint finish in a Little Greene’s Basalt, waxed over to protect and give a soft sheen. All joints checked for secure fit. Price includes wood slats (sorry not mattress). As an alternative to the wood slats, we can supply platform and sprung bed bases for superior mattress support and to raise the get into bed height.
