Very Original George III Mahogany Chest of Drawers

This is a very original 18th Century George III antique chest of drawers which is of small proportions and lovely quality mahogany, this chest retains its original feet, locks, gilt lacquered handles and a good colour and waxed patina. It has four long graduated oak lined drawers and brushing slide. Chests of this type are often referred to as Bachelor's chests, because of their small size, they were ideally suited to fit into the small accommodation young unmarried gentlemen lived in.
