Victorian Amethyst Glass Finger Bowl C1850

Technical Description An mid 19th century glass finger bowl in flashed Amethyst. Heavy, incurved bowl with a clear polished pontil. Used for rinsing the fingers at the dining table in a time when eating with the hands was commonplace. This is one of the best finger bowls we have had in many years, a great form, colour and weight. Date & Origin Europe or England, c1850 Condition Excellent, no chips, cracks, or restoration. Dimensions Height: 7 cm Diameter: 12.2 cm
