The sloped writing surface is inset with a green gilt-tooled leather and lifts to reveal a fitted interior with pigeonholes and small drawers. One side is fitted with four graduated drawers, the opposite side with matching dummy fronts for symmetry. Supported on bold baluster turned front columns and standing on bun feet with concealed castors, this elegant and compact writing desk is both highly decorative and practical. Minor signs of wear commensurate with age and use.
