Victorian Jewellery Box by Cormack Brothers

A good antique walnut inlaid jewellery box by Cormack Brothers, Ludgate Hill, London. The figured walnut with exstensive geometric marquetry inlays, the edges with a band of ebony, the top with a tunbridgeware floral central cartouche with similar inlay to the keyhole escutcheon. The box opens to reveal a fully fitted interior lined in a plush deep red velvet, the lift-out tray fitted various compartments reveals a further storage area beneath. With fully working lock and decorative key.
