Victorian Leather Studded Dog Collar. Antique Large Size. Paris. France

This handsome antique large size dog collar which is made of thick brown leather is decorated with metal studs which gives it a very cool look and dates from the late 19th / early 20th century. This antique French leather collar which would have been for a large dog has double metal rings, adjustable fittings and has a metal plaque which is engraved to show the original dog owner's name and address of A. Sentenac. 11 Bis Rue Pondichery, Paris. This chunky collar has a great patina and is a very nice usable antique example. Materials: Leather. Metal. Silver plate. Period: Victorian. Dimensions: Circumference Largest size when adjusted: 56 cm (22"). Smallest size when adjusted: 51.5 cm (20 1/4"). Height: 5 cm (2"). Weight: 468 g. Condition: Excellent used antique condition with signs of use in keeping with age. Some of the metal fittings are silver plate with some now worn over many years.
