A splendid Victorian mahogany writing slope, this has been designed as a campaign piece with sturdy brass fittings and carrying handles. It makes a lovely box for storing stationery, pens and desk equipment and will look great in a traditional office interior. - Brass bound corners and brass carrying handles and hinges. - Drawer at one side, with an internal brass pin which holds it closed when the box is shut. - Working lock, with key. - Blue felt writing surface, each side lifting up to reveal a letter compartment below, both sides having ribbon retainers for holding letters. - Compartments at the front for smaller items and pens.
