Victorian Pocket Watch Chain 10ct Rose Rolled Gold 1890s Double Albert 40.1g

Victorian Gentleman's highly impressive 10ct (professionally tested) rose rolled gold (has a lovely rich pink 'blush' and is known in the U.S.A as gold filled), traditional chunky curb link Antique pocket watch chain / double Albert (by Thomas Hopwood) with original big stamped T bar and original matching dog clips. Rare now days to find one complete and with all the original fittings - they were often split up and made into Ladies bracelets. (Pocket watch shown is for display purposes only and NOT included). Similar to the pocket watch chain I have supplied to 'Peaky Blinders'. (Please excuse the reflections/dark shadows in the pictures - was extremely difficult to photograph). Measures; 38.5cm / 15 1/4" total length and weighs a hefty 40.1 grams. Bright crisp chunky traditional curb links (measure 6mm width) - all have a lovely 'fluid' feel to them, reflecting the light beautifully. Original large T bar to centre (measures 4cm length) which is clearly stamped with the makers initials (with a recessed, oblong shaped cartouche); T*H - Thomas Hopwood, Birmingham, England (they were one of the leading jewellery manufacturers of the era). Secure original matching dog clip to each end (measure 2cm length x 7mm wide), both of which operate correctly. Excellent bright clean condition with no damage or wear (looks to have had very little use, perhaps only high days and holidays) and just a little bit of extremely light overall patina / fine surface scratches (mainly to the T bar and showing under eyeglass only) commensurate with age.
