Victorian Rosewood Nickel Silver bound Writing box. A superb quality and completely original victorian rosewood writing box dating back to c.1850. It’s bound in nickel silver with a nickel silver key escutcheon and empty name plate to the top. It has a fully working lock and tasselled key. The box houses it’s original velvet to the back of the inside lid, two lidded compartments for nibs, two inkwells and a pen slopes and two compartments. A superb piece in fantastic original condition a perfect gift for a writer. Measuring 36 x 12 and stands 7cm high.
