A beautiful mid Victorian rosewood vanity box containing cut glass bottles and jars, with silver plated lids and vanity tools with mother of pearl handles. A lift out tray reveals further storage space below. There is a drawer to the bottom of the box, that is release by a spring loaded push button. The drawer is lined with green water marked silk and gilt embossed leather trim. The vanity box also has a mirror, held in by a spring loaded button in the top of the lid. The interior is fitted throughout with deep green ruched velvet and embossed gilt trim. The hinges are all profusely engraved and made by WT&S of Birmingham and there is a working lock and key. Overall. a stunning object of the highest quality, please see photographs.
