Description
A genuine bronze propellor that has been used to power a medium sized boat. It is made from solid bronze and is fairly weighty, with three round-ear blades and a 15 ¼” diameter sweep, and a standard 1” taper bore. Although the edges of the blades show a few small chips (see detailed picture), they are minor, and it has no cracks, breaks or chunks missing. It has a good bronze colour and as a decorative piece has lots of character. That said, it is in good useable condition with nothing stopping it from being used on a boat today; it has a 1” drive shaft and ¼” key slot.
Weighing in at 4.5Kg it will need a good solid fixing bracket and mounted on a wall, would make a striking piece of marine décor behind a bar, for a man-cave or in a room to support a nautical theme.

The front surface has a nice reflective polish but this has not been overdone and any discolouration has been left to underline its age.
