Fabulous 1980s cultured pearl necklace with 18 carat white gold diamond leaf-spray clasp This fabulous single-strand cultured pearl necklace dates to 1987 and is beautifully finished with an ornate diamond-set clasp crafted in 18 carat white gold. The graduated cultured pearls range from approximately 6.5mm to 9.8mm and have a lovely creamy ivory hue with an attractive lustre. Their gently varied shape and subtle natural surface characteristics give the necklace warmth and individuality. The real highlight is the beautifully modelled foliate clasp. Designed as a layered spray of textured leaves, it is centred with a line of four sparkling brilliant-cut diamonds, totalling approximately 0.25 carat. The delicate detailing catches the light beautifully and makes the clasp sufficiently decorative to be worn at the front or to one side. At 18.5 inches long, the necklace sits gracefully around the neckline and would be a timeless choice for a wedding, special occasion or elegant everyday wear.
