Vintage French Perfume Scent Atomiser Powder Compact Boxed Set 1940s

1940s French boxed set comprising piston pump atomiser perfume bottle and large powder compact. This set comes in it's original hinged hard case which has brass catch and fitted interior and is in very good order. Both pieces are made of chrome metal with mottled red cold painted enamel surfaces. The atomiser measures 5.3cm (closed) and 8.3cm (open). To open you place a finger on top of the plunger, press and turn counter clockwise a quarter turn. The plunger should pop right up. To close, place a finger onto the plunger, then the plunger pushes down into the mount head and locks in with a quarter turn clockwise. All in good working order, The powder compact measures a large 9.5 cm in diameter and has firm hinge and secure catch. It opens to reveal a very shiny and clean chrome interior with clear and reflective mirror under the lid. The powder well in the base retains the original sifter. There is no case id on either piece except the compact is marked Made in France. This fine vintage cased set is offered in good condition. The box is in good order with some light edge wear. The compact has just one pinprick loss to the enamel of the lid and the atomiser also has some minor loss to the enamel surfaces, none of which in my opinion are detrimental. Thank you for looking.
