A beautifully crafted vintage Gucci porcelain ashtray, made in Italy and decorated with an elegant hand-painted-style mallard duck motif set amongst reeds.
Finished with rich hand-gilded borders and distinctive sculptural cigarette rests, this luxurious piece perfectly reflects Gucci's sophisticated home accessories of the late 20th century.
Originally designed as an ashtray, it is equally suited today as a stylish vide-poche or catchall for jewellery, watches, keys or other treasured items.
The underside retains its original suede base with the Gucci leather label and impressed production reference 040•01•1959, confirming its Italian manufacture.
