Description
Vintage Japanese pine wood tea chest, crate, box with lid, made in the 1960s probably. Original advertising label on one end; information label on the other. Remnants of paper trimming around the top. The lid doesn't hinge, it just lifts off and is held in place by its sides. The inside is lined with thin metal. Good stylish stackable storage cases. I have two more on here as shown in one picture. Condition is pretty good structurally: it's solid enough and sound.

Barnaby's of Battle has clarified that the Vintage Japanese Tea Chest 1960s (LA520929) is genuinely of the period declared with the date/period of manufacture being c.1960s
condition
Condition is pretty good structurally: it's solid enough and sound. Cosmetically there are plenty of signs of a working life: bumps and scrapes and flaky paper etc. The dye of the label is a bit worn but pleasantly. The wood could be sanded but you'd lose a lot of the feel.
