Vintage Kigu Bouquet Petit Point Figural Basket Powder Compact c.1940

Offered for your consideration is this vintage Kigu figural powder compact dating circa 1940. The compact is in the form of a flower basket complete with hinged carry handle. It is made of gold tone metal with pretty machine turned pattern. The lid has lovely petit point floral decoration under a protective celluloid covering. The case has firm hinge and secure catch and opens to reveal a cream celluloid interior with clear and reflective, glued glass mirror under the lid. The frame is marked Bouquet and in the base of the open powder well the case has the Kigu name and logo. The open powder well in the base retains its original Kigu marked puff. This charming novelty powder compact is offered in very good condition with no dents or dings to the case and no damage to the top. Thank you for your interest!
