Vintage Powder Compact Dog on Leash Active Photos c.1950

On offer is this charming vintage (circa 1950) powder compact which measures 9cm by 6cm. The case is made of polished gold tone metal and the lid has an applied dog on painted paper street scene. The dog has long red leash and stands on a pavement by a lamp post. The case has firm hinge and secure catch and opens to reveal a bright and shiny polished gold tone interior. Under the lid is a glued glass mirror which is clear and reflective. The powder well is empty of powder and retains the original puff. Above the powder well is an open compartment with clip to hold notes perhaps.
