Vintage Powder Compact & Lipstick Case Carved Mother of Pearl Jewelled Decoration

Vintage circa 1950 powder compact and lipstick case set. The powder compact measures 6.5cm by 5.5cm and the lipstick case is 5cm in height. The powder compact has brushed gold tone metal base and the lid has beautiful genuine mother of pearl tiles alternating plain and carved in high relief with floral motif. At the centre of the carved rose is a cut and faceted clear paste stone. The case has firm hinge and secure catch and the interior is polished gold tone metal. Under the lid is a clear and reflective glass mirror. The powder well is covered by a hinged door and the powder well beneath has the original puff. The matching lipstick case has matching carved floral mother of pearl panel to the front and the flowers have faux pearls to the centre. The lipstick case is unused. Both pieces are offered in very good condition only with some surface scratches to the polished gold tone rear of the lipstick case.
