Vintage Stratton in Hand Powder Compact with Lipstick Unused Circa 1960

This vintage circa 1960 Stratton powder compact is offered in perfect, clean and unused condition and comes complete with black fabric slip case and card box. I don't think box and slip case are original. The compact measures 8.5 cm in width and 7 cm in height. It is made of bright, shiny gold tone metal and has scalloped shape. The base has star pattern and the lid has integral gold tone metal lipstick holder and floral design of red carnations on a white enamel ground. The case has firm hinge and secure catch and opens to reveal a perfectly clear and reflective framed glass mirror under the lid which has the original paper instruction label still attached. The case is a Stratton in Hand compact. This design allows the powder well inner door to open by pressing back gently on the outer lid which in turn springs open the powder well door thereby saving on damaging nails. The powder well door is marked with the Stratton in hand name and logo and inside the powder well has never been used and retains the original clean sifter but is missing the puff. To the side of the powder well is housed a gold tone metal lipstick holder on a hinge. This lifts up to pull the lipstick out and again has never been used and has the original paper insert. This attractive vintage compact is offered in "as new" condition with no wear or damage of any kind.
