Description
On offer is this beautiful "Musica" piece by Stratton, signed Baron and depicting an image from Swan Lake featuring Dame Beryl Gray as Odette and John Field. This powder compact dates circa 1950 and the gold tone base has curled feather design. The case measures 8 cm by 7cm.
The compact lid, the clasps and hinges are in good order, the gold tone metal has no wear and the musical mechanism is playing a beautiful tune, which I'm afraid I cannot name. The case has a framed, bevelled glass mirror which is clear and reflective. The powder well has the original sifter.
