Description
On offer is this beautiful vintage 1950s Stratton England "Musica" powder compact with Reuge St. Croix Swiss musical movement. Stunning gold tone Stratton compact measuring 7 cm by 8.2cm, all in immaculate condition with thick lucite top imitating mother of pearl and decorated with black musical notes embellished with tiny paste stones on a gold stave and treble clef design and all in excellent condition! The compact has curled feather design to the base.
The case has firm hinge and secure clasp, and opens to display a bevelled glass mirror in excellent condition and with original instruction label stickers within. The inner powder well door is marked with the Stratton "Compact-in-Hand" logo with automatic opening inner lid and has the original sifter.
I'm afraid I don't know the name of the tune.

This compact is offered in very good condition with no dents or dings, no metal tarnish and no damage to the lucite top. All of the little paste stones are present and the musical movement is in good working order.
