Watch: Gents Bulova Ambassador Automatic Watch 1974

The watch has a 25-jewel automatic movement, calibre 11 AOACB, which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed with the Bulova name, and it has the date code for 1974. The watch measures 35.5mm wide excluding the signed Bulova winding crown and 34mm high excluding the lugs. The case is gold plated and it is in lovely condition. The stainless steel screw-on case back is also signed Bulova and it also has the date code for 1974. There is a long service inscription from Kent Blaxhill, a Colchester builders merchants. There are some scratches to the back of the watch. The lens has a couple of short cracks, less than 2mm long. Some natural light reflection showing in the front photos. The dial is in its original finish with original hands, centre seconds hand and a day / date display. The day is initially set by turning the hands forwards and the date is set by pulling and pushing the crown between first and second position. A new leather strap has been fitted.
