George KILBURNE: “The Christmas Pudding”: a finely painted watercolour, which depicts a period interior with the lady of the house carrying the flaming and holly-decorated pudding with a footman observing critically. Signed (lower right) and typical of this well-known and highly-regarded watercolour artist. Measurements: 26 x 20ins (66x51cms) including the frame. *George Goodwin Kilburne R.I; R.O.I; R.M.S (born 1839; died 1924) was an English genre artist who specialised in accurately drawn interiors with figures. His work is normally found in watercolours, a medium in which he excelled.
