Description
A very interesting original Watercolour of a pair of fighting cocks by J W Ludlow signed and dated 1897.
J.W. Ludlow was an ornithological artist who specialized in domestic birds. He illustrated several books published by Cassell and others between 1867 & 1886 on Poultry and Pigeons.
Rosewood veneered frame, glass front. Featuring a pair of fighting cocks, Black Breasted Red and Brown Breasted Red. Very rare to find his original works now.
