Description
This is a superb 19th Century Wax Bust of a young Alexandre Brongniart, the celebrated French mineralogist, Geologist and Naturalist 1770-1847. Carved in Wax and presented on an ebonised stepped base. Wonderfully sculpted with great detail after the French Artist Jean Antoine Houdon (1741-1828).
