Description
A beautifully observed river landscape in muted colours by William Eyre Walker (1847-1930). William Eyre Walker was born in Manchester and later lived in Stow on the Wold and Dorset. He was an early exhibitor with the Lake Artists Society. He also exhibited widely elsewhere including Royal Academy, Royal Institute, RWS, RSW etc. He was elected a member of RWS in 1896. He was also the father of Bernard Eyre Walker, with whom he is sometimes confused.
