Description
A Scottish denomination of 40 shillings (slightly larger than a half crown) from the sole reign of William II/ III dated 1695.
Despite the counter mark of ‘1695’ the detail on this coin is quite excellent on both sides and in respect of the edge lettering (regnal year SEPTIMO).
