Description
This is an exceptional example of a William IV rosewood Lap desk dating back to c.1830, featuring inlaid mother of pearl and a amboyna centre. The box has a mother of pearl key and top escutcheon with the name Belinda engraved on it. The box is complete with a fully working lock and key. Open the box to reveal a green releathered writing surface with space underneath for paperwork, two nib slopes a pen slope with section underneath a lidded pen compartment and two inkwell sections with silver topped inkwells.
