William IV Rosewood Tea Caddy.
A truly stunning William IV Rosewood Tea caddy dating back to c.1830. The caddy is sarcophagus in shape with rosewood handles to the sides, sitting on four rosewood feet.
It features gorgeous burr maple flower and foliage inlaid to the top and front of the box. There is a inlaid mother of Pearl key escutcheon and a flower basket is featured to the top of the lid.
The box has a fully working lock and tasselled key.
We have relined the back of the inside lid with hand crafted marble paper.
The box also houses two lidded compartments with bone handles for tea, with a glass mixing bowl to the centre.
It measures 31 x 17 and stands 25cm high.
A real beautiful tea caddy in stunning condition.
