William IV Rosewood Tea Caddy With Mother Of Pearl Inlay. A beautiful example of a Sarcophagus William IV Rosewood Tea Caddy dating back to c.1830. The tea caddy features stunning mother of pearl decorative inlay to the top and front, brass lion mask handles to the sides with a mother of pearl key escutcheon. The key is just for show and doesn’t work the lock, it sits on four bracket feet. Open the box to reveal a cut glass liner to the centre in good condition, with two rosewood mother of pearl inlaid tea canisters either sides. The back of the inside lid has been relined with handcrafted marble paper. A stunning tea caddy in superb condition. It measures 33 x 17 and stands 27cm high.
