William IV Rosewood Writing Slope. A classic example of a William IV rosewood writing slope with mother of pearl and pewter inlay to the top of front. The writing slope dates back to c.1830 it features a fully working lock and tasselled key. Open it to reveal it’s original red leather writing surface, a nib slope with brass nibs, pen slope and two ink wells. There is a stationary rack to the back of the inside lid for paperwork and more space to the underneath of the writing surface. A splendid box, a superb piece of rosewood in wonderful condition. It measures 41 x 25 and stands 13 cm high.
