A lovely William IV silver vinaigrette by Nathaniel Mills, dated Birmingham 1834. The engine turned lid has a cartouche with initials and applied foliate border. The delicate design completes this lovely vinaigrette. There is a gilded interior with a pierced inner cover and beautifully engraved grill. It is hallmarked on both lids. Nathaniel Mills is widely regarded as the pre-eminent silversmith of the 19th Century specialising in vinaigrettes, card cases and boxes. This vinaigrette is a very nice quality example in very good condition. 3.8cm 2.6cm Wt.19.5gm.
