Wonderful Iris Embossed Silver Topped Trinket Box

A fabulous Edwardian silver mounted trinket box. This unusual and delightful piece is of shaped rectangular form with a repoussé silver lid. The superior quality glass base is beautifully cut in hobnail diamonds and has a wonderful starburst cut to the base. The eye-catching lid has pierced and shaped fretwork to the border and features a panel of irises to the centre. A good quality and practical piece of dressing table ware, with a variety of uses.
