Antiquites Francaises is a well established family business dealing in decorative French antiques since 1997, located in Jesmond, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE2 2PS England. We source all our stocks personally in France where we make several trips each year looking for stylish, elegant and decorative pieces.
Our stock is predominantly 19th century French antiques, with some early items, art deco pieces and more contemporary items of particular interest.
All of the items for sale at Antiquities Francaises are lovingly cleaned and restored by our proprietor Babette Malleret. Our pieces are ready to place directly into your home, unless otherwise stated. For specialist repairs, such as to clock workings or metalwork, we engage trusted local tradespeople.

Anything In Particular was born out of a joy of finding things and seeing value in things that other people might not do. It came from a desire to do “something different” and have a different focus from what can sometimes be the struggle of day-to-day existence.
So, Anything In Particular came to be and means rummaging and scouring and otherwise seeking out good things, unwanted things or just interesting things. We have been trading since 1986 on the UK fairs circuit and have traded from Portobello Road, London since August 1996, when we also became members of P.A.D.A. (Portobello Antique Dealers Association). We traded at Geoffrey Vans Arcade for 14 years, then Chelsea Galleries for 4 1/2 years before moving to Atlam, at 111 Portobello Road where we share a shop. This has the benefit of being open through the week as well as Saturdays. Over the years we have built up a reputation amongst the trade and collectors around the world. Many of our customers have supported us since we started in business and we always try to offer a friendly and efficient service. We are always trying to encourage new collectors with our ever changing range of stock.
We deal in Victorian copper kitchen ware, 19th century French crystal glass, and a selection of English pottery. We have specialised in culinary moulds since we started in business and stock a large range of copper, pewter and ceramic examples from 1750 to 1920.
We also carry a wide range of Victorian copper kitchen ware, both decorative and useful, including, saucepans, saute pans, fish kettles, braising pans, stock pots etc. Many of these have been retinned, in the traditional way, so that they are now, once again, usable. Our range consists of a mixture of English and French copperware, with an emphasis on quality.
Our range of glass also has an emphasis on the usable rather than the decorative. There's nothing better than drinking from a good quality, substantial, crystal glass.
