It all began during my childhood around a Welsh Georgian farmhouse. The draw of my lovely grandmothers pretty china cabinet, filled with mesmerising fluted floral tea cups.
The Linen Cupboard – piled high with freshly pressed and folded embroidered linen.
A Welsh farmhouse kitchen with scrub top tables, painted legs and well worn chairs. Its huge walk in pantry with dozens of enamelled pitchers, bowls and kilner jars.
The beautiful orchard of apple and pear trees, sweet peas and my grandfather’s perfect vegetable garden with statuesque rows of kidney beans.
These memories, interlaced with exciting family explorations travelling through Europe in our caravan, being seduced by French and Scandinavian homes and traditions, has evolved in creating 'Llewelyn & Company ~ Decorative Living'.
Every detail, every item, colour, texture and scent; every wonderful piece of furniture, old and new; is personally found and chosen by my husband and me. A process which we relish and enjoy.
Our enjoyment is complete when we see the look of delight on our customers faces as they enter our shop.
By our nature, we’re creating homely nests for our families to enjoy. Providing them with a haven filled with the decorative things we love is deeply fulfilling, therefore sit back and delight or come and join us in our beautiful store in the most charming of towns, Hay-on-Wye.

Originally from Yorkshire, my love for antiques began early on in life, sparked by trips to local antiques shops with my father. Wandering through rooms filled with beautiful old objects, I loved the craftsmanship, the delicate patterns, and the quiet sense of history each item held. Those early adventures laid the foundation for a lifelong passion for vintage and antiques. I went on to study and have a career in fashion, eventually specialising in vintage-inspired design, as well as social media and marketing.
Alongside my professional life, I shared my love of vintage style through blogging, often documenting my visits to antique shops and markets, like the Brooklyn Flea Market, across France, NYC, Paris, London, Los Angeles, and Berlin. It’s the details that continue to captivate me, like the scent of an old book, the satisfying weight of proper silverware, or the way sipping tea from bone china can elevate an ordinary moment into something quietly special.
Today, I live in Manchester, England with my husband Zach and cat Pickle. We are in the midst of renovating our Edwardian home, rolling up our sleeves and often covered in dust. By day, I split my time working in design, marketing and branding for sustainable brands with my love of sourcing fine antique and vintage tableware. Each piece I select reflects not just exceptional craftsmanship and rich history, but also the potential to create new memories gathered around the table, shared with loved ones.
