An amazing late 18th Century English candlesticks. Each candlestick has a long cylindrical plain stem on square base with square drip catcher.
There is a very small difference, at first glance identical pair: one candlestick is less than 5mm shorter and if you look closely the same candlestick has a slightly different shoulder just above the well, missing one "small ring" The difference is most definitely from manufacturing process, how the stem was prest into the base.
I might be going into too much detail, but personally I find it as great little detail that only verifies their age.
Lovely classic example of early candlesticks, a touch of true style to any interior or collection.
22cm in height with 11cm by 11cm base
In good condition showing wear with minor imperfections, there is a small variation in height on candlesticks, one is about 5mm shorter than the other.
