Description
This is an antique Sheffield plate (silver-plated) wine bottle coaster, a piece of tableware traditionally used to hold wine or champagne bottles to prevent condensation or drips from marking a table. The coaster features a tall, pierced gallery border with an intricate lattice or open-work geometric design. With the top rim decorated with an applied grape and vine motif. Base is a wood-turned disc with green baize.
