19th Century Gilt Bronze & Etched Glass Jewellery Box

This beautiful and very ornate late 19th Century shaped jewellery box is comprised of a lovely gilt bronze frame with an etched glass lid. The box stands on 4 paw feet and features the original red silk cushioned bottom. It is decorated with flowers and acanthus leaves, which is also duplicated on the glass top. This box would make a unique and attractive accent piece to many different rooms and settings, booth contemporary and traditional. Origin: French c.1890 Condition: Excellent
