Description
A superb Victorian silver mounted scent bottle. This unusual and eye catching design has a white opaline body in hourglass shape. The bottle is overlaid in blue and cut through in slice cutting and 'port hole' patterns. The silver lid is hinged and of repousse design. Inside there is a fitted glass peg stopper. A lovely and eye catching collector's item.
Hallmarks :- Unmarked but tests as silver (not unusual for small silver scent bottle tops).
Date :- c1870.
