Description
Ambrotypes are early photographic images, also known as collodion positives, which made negatives appear as a positive image by backing them with dark material. They are delicate and are usually housed behind glass in little hinged boxes. They were popular between 1850s-1880s. This one of two small children is very cute!! In its original hinged box.

Good. no cracks or obvious damage to the image. Hinges are good, although one has a tendency to come out of its velvet cover (but goes back in).
