Fully assay marked old style UK and x-ray tested. Dates to early part of the 20th Century c1920s. The diamonds are set in a solid platinum starburst mount. The style is a classic trilogy with the stones being flush (rub over) set. Very very sparkly and of the highest quality. Excellent condition, especially considering age. In olden times the alloying of gold left it too soft to mount stones in effectively. For this reason other metals were used to provide a more secure setting - in this instance platinum. Main Stones: 3 x round cut natural white diamonds, ice white and loupe clean. Width across setting is 4.5 mm. Width at rear is 2 mm. UK Size is K 1/2. US size is 5.50. It is only my opinion but I feel antique items that are polished too much lose some of the character.
