Antique Acorn Form Vinaigrette Perfume Scent Bottle Brooch Sterling Silver Lid Circa 1880

On offer is this antique vinaigrette scent bottle brooch dating circa 1880 and measuring approx. 3.5 cm in length excluding the brooch. This antique vinaigrette/perfume bottle is made of beautiful emerald green glass in an acorn shape with faceted body and has an unmarked but tested sterling silver collar and hinged lid with brooch fitting attached to the bale at the centre. The lid lifts up to reveal a silver engraved pierced grille covering the neck. The collar unscrews correctly at the neck in order to replenish the contents. This antique chatelaine vinaigrette is offered in good condition with normal age and usage signs but no chips, cracks or fractures to the glass body or neck. The silver fittings show signs of a former gold wash finish now mostly gone. The silver lid has some dings to the edge as shown in the final image. The pin is strong and firm. Thank you for looking.
