Antique Chatelaine Perfume Scent Bottle Ruby Red Glass Gilt Ormolu Mount Circa 1880

On offer is this attractive antique chatelaine perfume bottle which dates circa 1880 and measures 6.3 cm in length excluding the attached suspensory chain and ring. This scent bottle is made of beautiful ruby red glass with lovely decorative pierced gilt metal ormolu mount encasing the glass and featuring kissing doves to the front and verso. The bottle has a hinged scalloped lid with engraved top and attached to the sides of the mount is a suspensory chain and ring so that the bottle could be hung from a chain or chatelaine. The bottle has the original clear glass inner stopper. Offered in good condition. The glass body has no chips, cracks or fractures. The lid fits firmly and securely and has no dents or dings and I can see no lifting or losses to the ormolu mount. The neck of the bottle is undamaged and the internal glass stopper is also free of damage.
