Antique Cut Paper Silhouette of Two Gentlemen

Mid 19th Century silhouette Frame: 16cm by 18cm A charming antique hand cut paper silhouette depicting two standing gentlemen, each shown in profile and dressed in period attire. The informal scene appears to show one gentleman holding what looks to be a pint glass or drinking vessel, whilst the other holds what appears to be a pair of boots. The unusual composition perhaps suggests a humorous exchange of a pair of boots for a pint of ale, although this interpretation cannot be confirmed.
